A study carried out by a team of researchers at Carleton University in Canada, published in the journal Behaviour And Information Technology, has discovered that internet users judge the quality of a website and form an opinion in a matter of milliseconds. In the tests, subjects were exposed to websites for 500 milliseconds and then asked to comment on visual appeal and the relation to several design features.
They then used the same method with only a limited exposure of 50 milliseconds on another group. Bizarrely, the same conclusions were reached, indicating that users form an opinion as soon as the information and design hits the eye. First impressions obviously do last...

How much does graphic design cost?
There are many factors that determine the cost for a graphic design project, but you can rest assured that you are receiving a great value from Nation Imagination. Typically, graphic design projects are charged based on the type of project and a flat fee estimate based on an hourly rate of $75.00 to $95.00 per hour depending on the project requirements. We bill all projects in 15 minute increments to remain fair to the client.
All projects include revisions in the project scope and additional revision cycles can be purchased at the normal established hourly rate. However, if you are in need of a minor change to a graphic file that we know will take 15 minutes or less, we will not charge you for this work. You won’t find that with some of our competitors.
What is the client’s involvement in the design process?
Before we begin each project, we thoroughly discuss the client’s requirements and define the scope of work. During this time, we encourage our clients to show us samples, colors, and any ideas they may have on hand for the project. During the design process, the client will be asked for approval of our work at each milestone before work continues to the next milestone. If approval is received, the project will move into production. We always submit a final proof for the customer’s approval before submitting files to a printer. At the conclusion of a project, the client may request the artwork in various formats.
Who owns the copyright to the work created?
We release the copyright to the client upon receipt of payment in full.
